Dr. Hopka graduated with a bachelor’s degree in veterinary science from University of Nevada, Reno in 2013 then went on to complete her Veterinary degree Washington State University. Her special interests include surgery, preventative medicine, dermatology, wound management, and end of life care.

Dr. Hopka was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. While attending school in Utah, she met her husband, Sheldon, who was serving as active duty Air Force and they were married in 2017. In May 2018 they relocated to Elgin, SC and shortly thereafter she joined the WAH family. They welcomed their first daughter in 2021 and a second daughter in 2023. She currently has 3 dogs, a miniature pincher, mini rat terrier, and shepherd mix, and are about to welcome 2 bengal kittens into the family. Outside of work, Dr. Hokpa enjoys anything outdoors (hiking and going to the beach are top favorites) and traveling to explore new places.
