Boarding Policy

1.    All dogs must have current immunizations against Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, and Bordetella.

2.    All cats must have current immunizations against Rabies, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, and Panleukopenia (FVRP).

3.    All pets must have proof of negative intestinal parasite screen within 6 months and must be free of external parasites (fleas & ticks) when admitted for boarding; or must be treated upon admission.

4.       All boarding animals are attended to twice per day at a minimum.  However, this hospital does not operate with 24-hour staffing.  All clients must understand that incidents may occur after-hours over which we have no control.  Likewise, boarding and medical boarding animals are not under 24 hour surveillance.  Therefore, even during normal business hours, medical conditions may occur or are not discovered until later, much like at home.

5.    All clients are required to read and sign the boarding admission form.

6.    Animals will be admitted & discharged during regular office hours only.

7.    This hospital does not operate with 24-hour staffing.  Any animal that requires emergency or immediate veterinary attention will receive it at our discretion, and at the owner's expense.  Owners should be aware that certain medical conditions can be precipitated by the change in routine while boarding.  If these problems do arise, they will be treated accordingly. An emergency telephone number is required to be left with the clinic.

8.   Animals requiring medication or treatment will be charged appropriate fees.

9.   Be aware that your pet's diet may vary while away from home.  They may have barked at other animals, or the temperature & humidity may have been slightly different from your home.  This can create problems such as sore throats, tonsillitis, or diarrhea.  We seek to prevent such problems, but you must understand that these problems do develop.  Owners will be charged appropriate fees for all treatment and medication needed for reasons that are not directly under our control.

10. We can provide food and bedding during your pet’s stay.  We also offer fun, interactive playtime for an additional charge.

11.  A cleansing bath is optional on the day of check out.  All major grooming is referred to professional groomers.  We will be happy to provide you with a recommendation.

12.  Please inform us if you are not happy with the care your pet received.  Your satisfaction and you pet's well‑being are our primary concern.
